Retro Games PSX is designed as a native offline-capable emulation platform. The vast majority of features—including catalog browsing, downloading games, playing PS1 titles via the built-in emulator, managing save states, and configuring CRT shaders—can be enjoyed anonymously, without requiring any account or personal login.

2. Data Stored Strictly on Your Device

To provide a fast, responsive handheld experience, the following data is stored exclusively in your device's sandboxed local storage and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Downloaded Game ROMs: Downloaded game files are stored in the app's private sandbox and are accessible only to you.
• Save States & Virtual Memory Cards: Instant save states (.state) and memory card files (.mcr) remain on your local phone storage.
• Favorites & Bookmarks: Your marked favorite games are indexed locally in your device's Room database.
• Emulator Preferences: Your chosen CRT shaders, bilinear filtering settings, auto-frameskip preferences, and touch controller button opacity settings are saved locally in Android DataStore.

We implement robust security measures to safeguard all data:

• 100% HTTPS / TLS 1.3: All communications between the app and servers (including game downloads, API queries, and Google Drive transfers) are encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security.
• Certificate Pinning: Our networking module (NetworkModule.kt) enforces SSL certificate pinning against the backend host to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
• Process Isolation: The emulation core operates within a separate Android process (:game) to maintain security boundaries.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

In compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play developer policies, you retain full ownership and control over your data:

• Local Data Deletion: You can wipe all local games, saves, and preferences at any time by clearing the app data in Android Settings or simply uninstalling Retro Games PSX.
• Cloud Account Deletion: If you created an account or signed in with Google, you can permanently delete your account and all associated backend records directly inside the app by going to Settings → Delete Account.
• Request Deletion via Email: You may also submit a formal data erasure request at any time by emailing us at muha.syaifudin@gmail.com. We will process your deletion request within 14 business days.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Retro Games PSX is rated for Everyone through the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC). We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit personal information from children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Union). If we learn that personal information from a minor has been collected without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our records.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in app capabilities, SDK upgrades, or legal requirements. When updates occur, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
